General information
Around 80 PhD holders belonging to 10 accredited high-quality research lines, lecturers and researchers from the Department of Applied Physics and the Department of Physics and Nuclear Engineering of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) are involved in the Doctoral Degree in Computational and Applied Physics.
The course has received the Quality Award from the Spanish Ministry of Education every year since its first call in 2002. As a result, every year funding is obtained for the mobility of high-level scientific researchers who teach courses in the various areas of research covered by the programme.
The programme provides solid grounding in the fields of computational physics and applied physics, as well as in general scientific and technical research methodologies. Our aim is to ensure that holders of the Doctoral Degree will be able to spearhead research and technological innovation in the abovementioned fields.
